From premiere to preservation.
After Glow is the digital extension of Black Light: A Howard Short Film Showcase, created to preserve and provide continued visibility for selected student films following their public theatrical exhibition.
Designed as a non-commercial, curated archive, After Glow offers a lasting home for undergraduate and MFA alumni work presented through Black Light. Each collection reflects a specific edition of the showcase and documents the creative output of Howard University filmmakers.
Participation in After Glow is voluntary and non-exclusive. Student filmmakers retain full ownership and control of their work.
Rather than functioning as a distribution platform, After Glow exists to extend the life of student films beyond the screening night and to establish a lineage of Black cinematic practice.
After Glow is produced and curated by Obibini Pictures as part of a long-term commitment to student-centered exhibition, preservation, and cultural stewardship.
